The examination of the guidance teacher's intervention experiences to the crisis

This research aims to analysis the crisis intervention experiences of the guidance teachers who are working at primary schools, secondary school and high school and counselling and research centers that are connected to the ministry of national education. The research is carried out with a method qualitative pattern. Working group consists of 25 guidance teachers working in Middle Black Sea Region. Participants are determined by the method of purposive sampling. A 10-item semi-structured interview form was used to collect data and open-ended questions about personal information and crisis intervetion experiences. Face to face interviews with guidance teachers were recorded on the voice recorder with the written permissions of the participants. In the next stage, these audio recordings have been decrypted in the computer. In the analysis of the data, content analysis method was used. Each question is analyzed seperately so that the reader understand more easily when analyzing. In other words, the evidences were analyzed based on interview questions. Here each question is considered as theme and he sub-headings in the questions are considered as the sub-theme. Also, theme and sub-theme have not been created. It is seen that, crisis situations differ according to the level and type of school. And also, it was concluded that guidance teachers felt lack of education in the intervention of crisis. It is concluded that the education are mostly in the form of in-service education. It was understood that the situation with the most lack of education was directed towards the mourn crisis. The crisis situations where the guidance teachers felt themselves most successful where neglect and abuse. Afterwards, the obtained findings were discussed in the light of literature and recommendations were given.
