Oligopolistic interdependence according to Competition Law

The aim of this thesis is to examine competition problems which result from oligopolistic interdependence according to competition law. The practicability of the dispositions of agreements and concerted practice about parallel behaviour which occurred in oligopolistic interdependence especially researched. In this subject, it is accordingly analysed how the presumption of concerted practice in Turkish Competition Law must be used for parallellisms observed in oligopolistic markets and it is argued that oligopolistic interdependence could not be accepted as a defense absolute against the presumption. Besides, existence of collective dominance only because of oligopolistic interdependence is discussed. In addition, the features of concentrations producing an oligopoly or reducing number of firms in a present oligopoly are analysed. The subject is dealt with jurisprudence and doctrine of European, American and Turkish Competition Laws.
