Abstract (EN)

This research examines how Carl Gustav Jung's archetype theory is used in television commercials and explains with examples how these archetypes are effectively applied, especially in the marketing of shampoo products. Jung's archetypes include universal, cross-cultural symbols and themes that derive from people's collective unconscious experiences. The use of these archetypes in advertising campaigns provides deep interaction by appealing to consumers' emotional and psychological needs, beyond simply presenting products to consumers at a functional level. The research examines in detail the advertising campaigns of Pantene, Elidor, Gliss, Head & Shoulders and Clear brands, and exemplifies how specific archetypes such as the Magician, the Hero, the Creator and the Rebel are used in these campaigns. These campaigns show that shampoos not only provide hair care, but also support users' self- confidence, independence and personal development. The characters and stories in advertisements touch the personal experiences and lifestyles of consumers, allowing brands to reach a wider and more diverse audience. This study shows how Jung's archetypes are applied in the advertising industry and how they are used to establish more meaningful and deeper connections with consumers, especially in shampoo advertisements. The integration of this theoretical framework into advertising strategies offers brands the opportunity to communicate emotionally and psychologically effectively and thus create a stronger presence in the market.
