Seeking method in recreation opportunity spectrum and planning: Karaburun peninsula case study

There is no flexible planning method or tool for expanding the recreational opportunities preferred by individuals living with ecological balance and recreational experience in relation to outdoor recreation planning in the world and which can be applied to every area on the earth. In this study, based on the desire for recreation, quality and demand, the planned area is divided into certain classes and recreation opportunities according to ecological sensitivity are provided. In addition to this, considering recreational qualities and demands; It is aimed to make the decisions to be taken in recreation planning more efficiently and easily. In this study, quantitative research method was used. In this direction, land survey was used for data collection in relation to inventory studies and recreation quality. In order to reveal recreation demand, survey data collection tools were applied. It has also benefited from observation data collection techniques to verify both the study area and the existing data. As a result of the research, a comprehensive recreation planning method (CANROS) is presented which is applicable in all regions of the world, flexible, ecologically balanced and at the same time maximizing recreation opportunities. In addition to this, this method has been tested by applying in İzmir-Karaburun Peninsula. After the implementation study, Suggestions have been made about the Karaburun Peninsula and the new recreation planning method.. It is thought that the new method presented in this research can be used as an effective solution tool for recreation planning by state, local governments and large area enterprises.
