Sustainability in recreation management: A case study for 12 Giant Man Basketball Schools

The purpose of research, Turkey Basketball Federation infrastructure activities within the scope of the 12 Giant Men Basketball School, have arrived today from 2002 and views on the administrative processes of the participants to continue again in the future, to evaluate their experiences and observations. In the research, qualitative research design was chosen. The research design was composed of "case study" and "phenomenology" approaches. A case study type "holistic single case pattern" is used and "interview method" was chosen as the data collection method. Participant (sample) selection, "purposive sampling" methods "criterion sampling" method was used. Turkey Basketball Federation scope of educational projects in infrastructure activities and applied between the years 2002-2018 "12 Giant Man Basketball Schools" project management, implementation "having at least three years of experience" criterion; total 4 specialist managers and coaches, they were selected as a participant to get them opinions on "12 DABO" programs. Descriptive and content analysis methods were used for data analysis. The research findings were analyes under four general themes. These are expressed as 1. Goal and Earnings, 2. Structure, 3. Process, and 4. Sustainability of Program. As a result of research, about the sustainability of 12 Giant Man Basketball Schools, location, accessibility, suitability, number of facilities, selection of coaches from persons with expertise background, planning of training plans without hindrance to academic training, creation of motivating elements of coaches and students, cooperation with stakeholders, sustainability with an innovative structure.
