Abstract (EN)
In this study, the relationship between recreational activities of chess, volleyball and mind games and problem solving skills was examined using pre-test post-test research model. The students have been made to specialists in the field of mind games, volleyball and chess exercises for 2 weeks and 3 hours a week for 28 weeks. As a result of the end of the study, the effect of recreational activities on problem solving skills was analyzed by SPSS data analysis. When the analysis of the data was evaluated, it was seen that the post-test scores of each activity increased with respect to the pre-test scores. However, there was no significant difference in other activities except chess. As a result of the research, the effect of volleyball recreational activity on problem solving skills is little but meaningless; The autonomy that reduces the role of thought over time in volleyball activity is linked to less or no use of some cognitive processes. There was also a slight but meaningless difference in the recreational effectiveness of mind games. This is also due to the fact that most of the games were planned within 28 weeks of planning the mind games, so it was not practiced as much as possible and that not enough time was allocated to each game. In chess recreative activity, a significant difference was found as a result of the analysis of the data. This is due to the combination of various factors such as the role of thinking in chess is greater, the systematic approach of chess players to problems, the availability of ready-made solutions in their memory, and the focus of probing and narrowing of the problem area. Keywords: Recreation, Problem, Problem solving ability.
