The relation between academic succeses and time management of university students

The goal of that research is to determine whether there is a relationship between time management and academic successes of the university students or not. In the light of this, amongst the students studying in Afyon Kocatepe University in 2008-2009, 347 students were randomly chosen as a working group. 217 of these students participated in the research were female, and 130 of them were male.Time Management Inventory and Demographic Quality Measure were used to get the data. The Time Management Inventory was improved by Britton and Tesser and then modified into Turkish by Alay and Koçak. For finding out the relation between time management skills and academic success The statistics method of Pearson Moment Multiplication Correlation Coefficient, for time management skills and genders of the students Independent Two Groups t- test, for identifying the difference in the aspect of their age and the departments they study The statistics method of One way Variance (Anova) were used.The finding indicates that there is a positive relationship between academic successes of the students and the total point of time arrangement and management. It has also also discovered that there is a great difference in favour of the females between time attitude of the students and their genders. The results between the ones causing time consumption and the age have showed that there is an important difference in the sublevel of the things having the time consumed by the students at the age of 18-21.
