Abstract (EN)
ABSTRACT Masters Thesis INVESTIGATIONS OF MAGNETIC FIELD DISTRIBUTION İN RELUCTANCE MOTORS Zeki OMAÇ Fırat University Graduate School of Natural and Applied Sciences Department of Electricial and Electronics Engineering 1994, Page: 92 İn recent years, the switched reluctance motors (SRM) undertake attentions of Engineers and Researchers, because they have advantages as concentrated windings on the stator poles, no windings on the rotor struction, and simple rugged construction. Also SRM need a simple electronics control circuit with minimum component to be drived in both low and high speed applications. İn this study, the SRM which its use in industry is getting high, was analyzed by using the finite element method, and its magnetic fieldVI distrubition was investigated. A SRM with twelve poles on the stator and eight poles on the rotor was used for the investigation. in this thesis, developed by using the finite element method, the nonlinearity of the B-H curve of the stator and rotor's iron stacks was taken into account properly in the calculations, for nine different position of the SRM's rotor, the solution zone was divided in to convenient triangular elements, and the vector potential values of each node in the solution zone were founded. From these vector potential values energy, coenergy, flux, tork, force, and each triangular element's magnetic flux density values were calculated. The magnetic field distribution was drawn by using a computer. For evulating of the thesis, calculated results have been compared with measured reasons.
