Abstract (EN)

Renal cell carcinomas represents 3 % of all cancers and 85 % of adult's all renal carcinomas.It's classified according to its cell origin as 1- clear cell ca, 2- papiller ca, 3-chromophoberenal cell ca, 4-collective duct ca. In death of carcinomas; it is in the 10 th place and responsible for 2-3 % of all carcinomas. Renal cell carcinomas are usually metastatic andinvasive at the time of diagnosis. They are resistant to chemotherapy and radiotherapy and nowadays the best choice of treatment is nephrectomy. For these reasons, in light of new informations we have studied the relation between GATA-3,Maspin and VEGF expression and clinicopathologic parameters in renal cell catumourogenesis. We aimed to help devoloping new treatment protocols for renal cellcarcinomas which are resistant to medical therapy. We analyses 61 cases, which was diagnosed with Renal Cell Carcinoma between the years of 2002-2015 by the Department of Pathology Abant İzzet Baysal University Medical Faculty. Rotine histologial paraffin sections were obtained and stained with GATA-3, Maspin and VEGF as H&E and immunohistochemically. As a conclusion, decreased GATA-3 expression and increased Maspin and VEGF expression in Renal Cell Carcinoma was observed. However, further studies are needed to approve our findings and to clarify the role of these markers in the development of RCC.
