The inter-family relations in the example of the books of Selim Özdoğan Heimstraβe 52 and Renan Demirkan Üç Şekerli Demli Çay

This study has mentioned the lifes of Turkish families who immigrated to Germany to work and their inter-family relations. The study has aimed to explain the psychological and sociological effects of immigration on the families, the social and culturel interaction of Turkish families in this new society, cultural conflicts, adaptation of Turkish culture into new life style in Germany, the family relations of Turkish immigrants and its both positive and negative results and the incredible solidarity of Turkish people in their new country having regard to historical realities and presented detailed researches about defined periods. The author of the book Üç Şekerli Demli Çay Renan Demirkan and the author of the book Heimstraβe 52 Selim Özdoğan are the second-generation writers of Immigrant Literature and have contributed respectedly to be understood of immigration years to Germany. The study starts with assessment and informations about the Immigration fact and Immigration Literature, goes on with the detailed explanation about the importance of family in Turkish society and the structures of immigrated families. The inter-family relations which is the subject of our study have been explained indepth with the examples from the books at the sections 3 and 4. The personal and social results of these relations have been evaluated at the last section of this thesis. While evaluating, the social and historical realities of related period have already been taken into account. The reason for choosing these two books that they have subjected the early years of Immigration to Germany and transmitted the all facts that Turkish people have experienced to the readers in real. In addition, having the inter-family relations intensively in each book is crucial to understand the years of immigration. This study will also contribute significantly to understand the personal and social effects of immigrant on Turkish society.
