René Guenon information theory

In this study, the aspect of knowledge grasped by René Guénon, having criticized the western thought resulted in a dilemma for people in his lifetime, is addressed. According to Guénon, dilemmas experienced by people are due to their estranging themselves from real knowledge. According to René Guénon, one can save himself from this situation by means of metaphysics knowledge which is not suspected to be true. Therefore, western thought is supposed to call itself into question again and turn towards tradition. With this study, Guénon's critical approach to west view of knowledge as well as his ideas regarding the necessity of knowledge sources out of the sensory field is evaluated.
