Abstract (EN)

This research aims to eliminate the lack of Turkish language resources on the use of color, light and texture on contemporary glass art and the history of post 1950 contemporary glass art. In the introductory part of the five-part research, the purpose, scope and method of the research are explained. In the second part; color, light and texture are handled separately, and the definitions, and the semantic solutions that they have loaded into the form are discussed in detail. In the third part of the study, the process of modernization of glassware in the artistic context was examined under two headings, Europe and the Far East. In the fourth chapter, relations between color, light and texture on glass material, technical aspects of glass color, possibilities of creating texture and expression relations have been researched. In the last part, the personal application which the researcher realized in the context of the thesis is given. In this research, which deals with the use of color, light and texture in contemporary glass art, the implications of each element for the meaning of each factor in relation to the glassware will provide considerable contributions with examples and personal applications taken into consideration in this context.
