Abstract (EN)
In this study, production parameters of SiC filters with the replication method were investigated for use in the casting process. Polyurethane sponges with different porosities were covered with varying proportions of water, bentonite, gum arabic and SiC, and then subjected to pyrolysis and sintering. Characterization of the samples was carried out by weight loss, compression test, Archimedes scale and SEM methods. According to the results of the experiment, the highest weight loss was achieved as 46% by adding 30mL of water in a 30 ppi polyurethane sponge. The highest strength in sintering experiments was obtained with the value of 472 KPa in the experiment carried out at 1450ºC. The same sample gave the optimum result with a density of 3.101g/cm 3 and a porosity value of % 1.24.
