Abstract (EN)
In making women « the second sex », patriarchal system not only targeted the female body but also instrumentalized it. While the female body is being reified within patriarchal structures, women?s body and sexuality have been taken away from them. Originated in France as a strain of feminist literary criticism, women?s writing has emphasized the idea that women should write their body and sexuality so that they can reclaim the same. In this study, our target is to analyze the representation of female body in the novels of Turkish women writers published between 2000 and 2010.
