The fictional setup of space in the art of painting

The space occupied on the surface of the painting by each and every element which is added to the painting and the correlation of it with its surroundings have been studied in our thesis named as; "The Fictional Setup of Space in the Art of Painting"- where the change and the progress of the act of painting is historically described. This correlation, though may sometimes be based on an expression which totally relies on the reality and is completely composed of the object and its surroundings, it may also be as the correlation of the abstract forms which don't have an exact equivalent within the nature. Instead of a space perception which emerges from a random positioning of the object and its surroundings, the painters have often preferred the most relevant setup appealing to their own expressions and they have approached the surface of the painting as a unity of forms and colors. This unity, is a formation demonstrating the nature which harbors various different meanings of all kinds in itself, the human being and all the forms that a human being can fantasize in his or her mind. Historically, human being has been under various conditions of life, religious, political, economical and intellectual diversities and obligations. The artists, either being a part of the world order that they live in or not, have tried o describe their era within the possibilities that those conditions of life have to offer to them. We can say that, those descriptions are the most reliable sources which bring a light on the change of the world. As it will be mentioned in our thesis, human beings can continue their lives on a specific time and space and the artists can create expressions about those lives. It must always be kept in mind that, as long as the artist's vision forces those conditions ahead, art can progress. The artists who tried to move those visions ahead within their era, by studying, researching and creating works of art have been studied in our article named as; "The Fictional Setup of Space in the Art of Painting". The techniques that they have used when conveying their own thoughts, the forms of expression that they have developed and whatever they managed to relay to today's spectators are subjected to this thesis.
