Abstract (EN)

Human beings began to perform their vital activities in the dark ages and this development has reached to the known points of today. Starting from prehistoric times, the line has taken place in many fields of art and each civilization has given different meanings to the line. The line used as a contour in the Renaissance period, although not in every movement towards the Impressionist period is seen in the works of many current artists. Starting from the 19th and 20th centuries, many artists have come to the fore in line paintings due to the liberation of painting. Within the scope of the line discussed in the thesis process, literature review and art movements are examined. As a result of this examining, the place and importance of the line in art history was emphasized; At the same time, plastic language was tried to be created in the pictures. This study consists of 3 chapters. In the first part, the problem situation, the method of the research and the aim of the study are mentioned. In the second part, the place and importance of the line in art history is emphasized. In the third part of the study, it is tried to make the ways of dealing with the analyzes and applications. In this study, oil paintings were applied on 13 canvases, and the line dominating the painting was painted through electric poles. In this study, the subject of "Electricity Poles an is made linearly and dynamism is tried to be created in painting. In the electric poles made within the scope of the thesis, the line is given through wires and the line is focused on during the thesis formation process. In the studies carried out within the scope of the thesis, the painting surface was created in a stained manner with various color nuances and expressive brush strokes. The lines that dominate the general structure of the painting are depicted with opposing concepts such as vertical-horizontal and thin-thick.
