Abstract (EN)

The managers working in the educational institutions of our age have an impact with the behaviors which they conduct, on the organizations they lead. These behaviors are studied under many topics such as organizational culture, employee performance, organizational commitment and loyalty. In the 21st century, the impact and contribution of the behaviors of the administrators working in educational institutions on the organizational climate stands out as an important academic study area. In this thesis, it was tried to be revealed that the contribution of the school administrators' leadership skills to the organizational climate according to the perceptions of the teachers working in official secondary education institutions in Konya. In order to collect data for this purpose, the Scale called "Contribution of Managers' Management Skills to Organizational Climate", which is developed by Akar (2006), was used. The teachers who work in the secondary schools in province of Konya were the target population of this study and 448 teachers were the sample of the study. SPSS 22.0 package program was used for the analysis of the obtained data. According to demographic information, T-test and ANOVA test were used to calculate the significance levels between the scale dimensions. In the results of the thesis study, "Close Control" and "Overlook" dimensions' values were found high. In addition, significant differences were found in Overlook (O) dimension of School Type variable, Conscientious (C), Indulgence (I), Close Control (CC) dimensions of Weekly Course Hours variable, "CC" dimension in the variable of Number of Schools, which is worked at and in all dimensions of Seniority in the Profession variable. These differences in dimensions, depending on demographic information, indicate that perception level differs between groups. In addition, Halpin (1966) has obtained six types of organizations in the research, which is conducted to determine the climate types of organizations. He stated that the most positive type of these climates is open climate type. In this thesis, the high values in "Overlook" and "Close control" dimensions are an obstacle to the presence of the open climate. Therefore, the values obtained as a result of the thesis study are far from the values of the open climate. Therefore, the skill levels of school administrators are not sufficient for the establishment of an open climate in the school and do not show a complete success on teachers.
