Abstract (EN)

The aim of this research is to determine the effect of retro places on consumer preferences and customer satisfaction. For this purpose, the opinions of 406 consumers were consulted to measure the satisfaction level of consumers who prefer historical restaurants in Mardin. A questionnaire was used as a data collection tool in the research. Convenience sampling method was preferred to access the sample group. In the first part of the questionnaire form, there are questions about the demographic characteristics of the participants and the frequency of going to historian establishments, and in the second part, there are statements about the opinions of consumers about retro venues and customer satisfaction. The data obtained with the survey technique were analyzed according to their dimensions. Descriptive statistical methods such as frequency analysis, arithmetic mean and standard deviation were used to analyze the data. T-test was used to compare gender and frequency of preference, and Anova test was used to compare age and education level variables. The relationship between the "remembering the past" and "nostalgia" sub-dimensions of consumers about retro places and customer satisfaction was analyzed by regression analysis method. According to this study, retro venues preferred for nostalgia and reminiscence have a positive effect on customer satisfaction. Customers who prefer retro venues do not differ according to demographic characteristics. Keywords: Nostalgia, Retro , Retro Marketing, Restaurant, Historan
