Abstract (EN)
The issues and problems dealt and discussed by Albert Camus, one of the leading figures of French existentialism, and by Nurettin Topçu, known for his philosophy of action developed in our cultural world, are similar to some basic points. Our study aims to identify where philosophical interests of Albert Camus and Nurettin Topçu intersect and to discuss how they treat the concept of revolt of crucial significance in terms of the problem of values in their works. Taking into account Albert Camus' interest in existentialism and its place in the action philosophy, it is asserted that existentialism can be seen as the philosophy of action in the Introduction. In the first part Camus' absurd philosophy and the philosophy of revolt based on the absurd are discussed. In the second part the theoretical process leading to the concept of revolt from the action philosophy of the Nurettin Topçu is treated. In the last part, the similarities and differences between these thinkers regarding the concept of revolt are handled. In the conclusion, a number of ethical-political outcomes of the philosophy of revolt formed by both thinkers are evaluated. Keywords: Albert Camus, Nurettin Topçu, existentialism, philosophy of action, absurd, revolt, ethics.
