Reyhanlı dialect (Analysis-texts-dictionary)

In thıs study, the dıalect features of the Reyhanlı dıstrıct of Hatay were trıed to be determined. In the study, respectively, "Review", "Texts" and finally "Dictionary" sections were created. A total of 82 people from Reyhanlı Center and 23 villages of Reyhanlı were interviewed. The compiled texts were transcribed based on the transcription alphabet used in dialect studies. The compiled texts formed the "Texts" section of this study. Based on these texts, the Reyhanlı dialect was examined primarily in terms of sound and then form. Sound and shape analyzes are discussed under the headings of Phonology and Shape Information in the "Examination" section of the study. In Phonology, the similarities and differences between the written language and the local dialect are discussed by examining the sounds, phonetic harmony and phonetic events, starting from the sounds that are not found in Turkey Turkish but found in the Reyhanlı dialect. In the morphology, the word types were dealt with in order and examined together with their construction and inflectional suffixes. While dealing with phonetic and morphological information, examples from the compiled texts are given, and the information about which source person and in which line of the text these examples are used is indicated by showing numbers in arc brackets. The name of Reyhanlı, the history, geography, economy, ethnic structure, language / dialect of Reyhanlı are given in the Introduction section, and the region is tried to be introduced. At the end of the study, the "Dictionary" section was created. In the dictionary section, the words that are not in Turkey Turkish but appear in the compiled texts and their meanings are given. In addition to these, words with sound and shape differences and words that are used differently in the region have been added to the dictionary. The reason why we chose this study named "Reyhanlı Dialect" is that there has not been a compilation study on Reyhanlı and its villages before. With the hope that it will contribute to the Dialect Atlas of Turkey Turkish, which is planned to be made in the future, the dialect characteristics of the Reyhanlı region have been tried to be revealed.
