Abstract (EN)

The induction heating technique has a wide range of applications in industry including heating, melting, welding, soldering, and etc. It can be used in the range from 50 Hz to several MHz according to the heating type. In recent years, usage of induction heating technique on kitchen applications became more common. In this study, induction heating system was examined, a home type induction heating system was designed, simulated and experimentally carried out. Some precautions were taken to increase the efficiency of the power converter and the induction coil.A home type induction heating system was prepared via as semiconductor, a suitable MOSFET for operation frequency and as power converter circuit monophase serial resonant half bridge inverter topology has been used. Power control for the system, can be performed by adjusting the swithing frequency between 25-30kHz. Swithing losses and electromagnetic interferences caused by very high operation frequency, prevented by resonant inverter as converter and soft swithcing techniques. Keywords : Induction heating on domestic applications, zero voltage switching, half bridge series resonant inverter, PSPICE.
