Home automation using RF

Home automation system using RF is a prototype prepared for RF signal aided control application. In this study, first of all information about RF signals and the digital modulation RF signals are given, digital modulation techniques are examined with the comparison of their advantages and disadvantages. Detailed information is given about the about the types of home automation systems, the examples of them used in our country and in the world. The circuit elements used in home automation system using RF are examined, especially the communication between encoder, decoder and the microcontroller is explained in details. The control operation of the devices was performed by using the outputs of microcontroller and by using the microcontroller in the receiving module, data is transmitted to the serial port of the computer. The ways of the communication with serial port and the subject of serial port are examined in details. Home automation system using RF is supported by an computer interface communicating with the serial port of the computer. There?s also a security system using digital image processing on the computer interface. This security system is worked on the base of the process of the image and conversion of the image to the bitmap and RGB file format. The picture sampled in JPEG format is transferred to the internet by using FTP.
