Abstract (EN)

Rıfkî who was a Divan poet lived in 19 th century. His father?s name was Seyit Abdullah Paşa. His real name was Mahmut Rıfkî. We could not meet any knowledge about his life and his Works in sources. His only work is Divan which is the sourch of our own study. It is composed of 80 parts.Our thesis is composed of there parts which are; Rıfkî?s life, his personality and his works, characteristics of Rıfkî Divan?s form and content, Divan?s text and index.In the first part; Rıfkî?s life, personality; the personality of his literature and works has been tried to be find out by the help of his poems and historical sources.In the second part; the metres and ryhmes, which are according to the verse forms in poems, has been tried to be evaluated and also the elements which are foregrounded within the content of Divan has been tried to be evaluated one by one.In the third part; the text of Divan has been written through the tarnscription alphabet and it has been lined up in accordance with the classical Divan arrangement.In his Divan there are 7 kaside, 109 gazel, 2 kıt?a, 7 tuyug and 60 müfred. All his poems are in inreligous subjects. His language is very simple. Rıfkî who didn?t use many phrases had prefered Turkish forms of the words like mujgan and tîg and tried to make the meaning stronger by using dublicates and idioms but he had not succeeded in.
