Abstract (EN)
Rhodiapolis, a settlement in East Lycia, is an ancient city that has been excavated and explored since 2006. The artifacts obtained from the excavation seasons and in the early days are quite qualified. Tykhe / Fortuna (Museum Inventory no: 3777) is the artifact which forms the subject of this study. It was concluded that the Tykhe / Fortuna sculpture was a "Hera Campana" example by evaluating the various matchings and its typological characteristics. The artifacts found in the Louvre, Ephesos, British Museums were selected as matching examples. Since it was transferred to the museum as a surface finding, a definite data about the detection of its exhibition location hasn't been reached yet. However, a Fortuna temple is mentioned in the inscriptions in the city. Therefore, it is thought that the studied artifact is exhibited in this temple. Because of its workplace and being familiar with the typology as where it belongs, Ephesus is thought to be one of the options. In the way of the Hellenistic period, this artifact has a quite intensive workmanship. It has been concluded that the work, which was made in a classical style, belonged to the middle of the 2nd century A.D.
