11 A STUDY ON RIDGE REGRESSION M.Sc. Thesis Mücahit KURTULUŞ GAZİ UNIVERSITY INSTITUTE OF SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY NOVEMBER 2001 ABSTRACT In this study we worked on ridge regression method and especially choosing ridge parameters which is detoted by k and also suggested a heuristic way to calculate k. We also compared ridge regression method by Least Squares Method.
