Abstract (EN)

The aim of this study is to observe and evaluate the effects of rhythmic musical applications on the behaviors of moderate and severe mentally handicapped individuals. In this descriptive study, a ten-week practice was conducted with a group of students attending special education institutions and the data obtained as a result of this application were evaluated and analyzed. In the results of working; rhythm-based musical applications have positive effects on the physical, psychomotor, social and cognitive behavioral domains, adaptive and communicative skills domains, problem behavior domains, and musical desire and skill levels of moderate and severe mentally handicapped individuals. In the light of the results, various suggestions were made. Keywords: Rhythm, Music Applications, Mentally Disabled.
