The problem of disrespect to companions in transmission period

The word "sabb" which is mentioned in the Hadiths and which we can translate as insults to Turkish, is a comprehensive term. This word can mean a difference. This study aimed to determine what the word "mezkûr" means in the hadiths is planned as an introduction and two chapters. Examining only concepts that mean insult such as "sabb" and "shetm". It is insufficient to determine the expression of insult used in the Hz. Muhammed and later period. Therefore, all the expressions of insult in the narrations have been taken into consideration. In the introduction, the subject, purpose and method of the study are explained. Then, sabb and similar concepts which are insulted are discussed. In the first part of the study Hz. Muhammad's prohibitions on insult were examined. In the narratives of the people and the non-human beings insulted the Prophet and the people. It was seen that the Prophet prohibited all these. After that, the statements used by the Prophet have been determined. These expressions of insult were analyzed and the reasons for their use were investigated. Finally, the statements of those who belong to other religions who insulted the prophet were tried to be analyzed. In the second part, the expression of insult used by the companions of Prophet Muhammed is taken into consideration. Their statements against each other have been classified by paying attention to the reasons that influence the events in the investigations. As a result, the causes of insults were evaluated under eight headings: temperament, kinship relations, culture, jealousy, religious crime, personal discussions, political events and the effects of unknown causes. Companions of Prophet Muhammed used expressions of insult not only to each other, but also to nature and other members of the religion. In these cases, the nature and reasons of the statements they say are evaluated. Finally, the expression of insult against companions of prophet Muhammed are examined.
