Abstract (EN)
The interpretation of the valuable works from the major lied composers in the 18th and 19th centuries by artists and accompanying pianists holds a great importance in countries that have attained a certain level of artistic development. Lied exists as a result of the merging and blending of words and music. The poets' lines influence the composer's mood; the composer brings these words to music, and the lied emerges. The work, embellished with all of these intense emotions, must reach the ears and resonate in our world. The one who will realize this is the singer / artist. The artist first studies and learns the lyrics as well as the music. Contrary to popular belief, this is not enough. The artist must decipher the meaning of the lines, grasp what the poet wants to say, and try to discover a little bit of how the composer put these words into music. After the poet and composer's literary, emotional, and musical aspects have been concluded, it is the singer's turn to interpret; the singer must plan how their emotions are affected by the musical lines, how they interpret the lines, and how they intend to convey them to the audience. The poet wants to tell a story with their verses at first, and then the composer evaluates what was written in their emotional world and transfers it to music. The final stage is the presentation of the new work that emerges at the end of this process by someone entirely different, such as the interpreter or artist. We can see the meeting and clashing of these literary and musical understandings, as well as emotions, in such a creation. Because words can evoke a variety of emotions depending on the effect they have on the reader, and music, with its tempo and ups and downs, can be evaluated in a variety of ways. Therefore, presentation becomes very important. The artist must be able to correctly evaluate the lyrics in terms of literature and present the music with a free understanding, without compromising its original structure, in order to interpret by adding their own emotions without sacrificing quality. The pieces are short and require intense concentration. To all of this, we should add the words of Manuel Garcia, who is known as the father of singers, "Only a real musician can be a good singer". In this context, we can easily repeat: A true musician, a true performer, is not just one who correctly resonates the notes and strictly follows the rules of music, he is the one who can discover and present the emotion hidden between the notes.
