Abstract (EN)
Rome, being one of the most powerful political structures of Antiquity, transformed from a city-state into an empire. It achieved this transformation by spreading to three continents from the Italian Peninsula, where it is located. Along with Rome acquired land by wars, it also provided its political configuration in these lands. However, civil wars broke out in Rome, which became stronger in all respects. These civil wars fınally came to an end in 30 BC. With taking part of Augustus in Roman rule, a new period started. Augustus made new arrangements in Rome to ensure internal peace. The arrangements he made in 29 BC would provide the appropriate conditions for the "Roman Peace" that would last for centuries. Thus, in 27 BC, a peace-based rule was passed in Rome. Augustus paid attention to the protection of the borders in order to be sustained the Pax Romana. Rome also pursued a policy of peace in its international relations. Marcus Aurelius and Lucius Verus began to rule Rome together in 161 AD. During this period, when Rome was upset and peace prevailed, it had come to an end. After the death of Marcus Aurelius in 180 AD, the structure of Rome began to decline. Keywords: Rome, Roman Peace, Pax Romana, International Relations.
