Abstract (EN)
Gypsies, who passed their cultural characteristics from generation to generation and have similar personality traits, migrated all over the world and continued to preserve their cultural characteristics without integrating into the society in the places they settled. This situation has created a discriminatory approach and prejudices in other societies. They have a difficult history, especially in the western regions, from forced assimilation to repression and even the death penalty. Gypsies living separated from society in our country preserve the cultural heritages and rituals of their culture and do not conform to society's standards. All these factors resulted in Gyspies' children not being accepted into the schooling system. The goal of the study is to investigate the factors that prevent Gyspy students from entering the system when attending school and to propose solutions, allow for wave of behaving to students, teachers and parents about school dropout and failure. The study was comportment of primary and secondary schools which located in Sapanca, Sakarya and in the school year 2022/2023. The academical studying was designed as a qualitative case study. This academical studying used a phenomenological design and this is one of the assessable inquiry methods. The study used a "semi-structured interview form" prepared by the investigator and expert opinion as an act of collecting data. Content analysis was used to analyze the information obtained in the study. In this regard, 25 Roman students, 20 Roman parents and 15 teachers, who are responsible for the education of these students, participated in the study. Qualitative data examines techniques were used to examine the interviews and the documents that make up the research. According to the outcomes, obtained in the final section in the academical studying; It is established that gypsy students have learning difficulties, behave irregularly at school, find it difficult to think about education for economic reasons, have a large deficit for economic reasons, do not receive enough family support, problems e.g. social stigma and marginalization and cultural adaptation.
