Abstract (EN)

In this application report, it is aimed to create a resource for piano students about F. Chopin's Op. 35 No. 2 Piano Sonata by examining the phases of "sonata" from the large scale forms of the classical period to the romantic period. In the first part, the development of the sonata until the romantic period, the innovations that Beethoven brought to the sonata form, and the piano sonatas composed by composers such as Schubert, Schumann, Chopin, Lizst, Brahms, Tchaikovsky, Grieg in the romantic period was discussed. In the second part, the life story of F. Chopin and The Second Piano Sonata have been examined in detail and its musical analysis has been made.
