Abstract (EN)

The main aim of this research is to evaluate the attitudes and language levels of high school students in Romania towards Turkey Turkish; to identify the problems experienced in Turkish education conducted in this region and to develop solutions to them. For this purpose, the general characteristics of a working group of students of the Kemal Atatürk National College in Mecidiye, Romania, in the context of Turkish education in Turkey were determined. Attitudes of these students towards Turkey Turkish language education were analysed and their success status in the field of basic language skills was examined. In the research, the skill levels and characteristics of the individuals were observed and determined as they were and within their own conditions. For this reason, this research shows the characteristic of a descriptive research model. In order to identify in-group trends and create new information by embodying the data obtained from the working group with statistical values, quantitative analysis techniques were used through the SPSS program at every stage of the research. However, during the process of determining the success levels of students in the basic language skills fields, student studies were examined in accordance with a number of evaluation criteria. In doing so, qualitative analysis methods and techniques were used. When the research is evaluated in terms of its results, it is observed that the students have sufficient self-confidence and motivation in their Turkish language education. It is also monitored that the level of interest in Turkey and Turkey Turkish is quite high. As for their performance in the basic skills fields, it was found that the field in which students were most successful was the "speaking" field, and the area in which they were most unsuccessful was the "writing" skill field. Along with progress in language levels, an improvement in writing skill was observed. However, it is believed that the students need special attention in the field of writing, especially when it comes to following the rules of spelling and punctuation. In terms of comprehending, applying and internalizing the Turkey Turkish students are positively affected by the local Turkish, which is the oral communication language in the region they live in. However, since the students are under the influence of Turkish words and pronunciation, this local effect sometimes has negative effects such as moving away from standard Turkish in speaking and writing activities.
