Abstract (EN)
In this study, the use of rosmarinic acid as an effective solution against the aging is associated with oxidative stres caused by free radicals in the body, and antioxidants play an important role in this process. Rosmarinic acid is a compound that draws attention with its strong antioxidant and antimicrobial properties. However, due to its low solubility in lipid and limited effectiveness, PLGA-based nanoparticles were developed in this study to increase the effectiveness of rosmarinic acid. These nanoparticles prepared by the nanoprecipitation method were examined and characterized in terms of pharmaceutical technology and cosmetology. Various analyzes revealed that rosmarinic acid loaded nanoparticles significantly improved antimicrobial activities while increasing antioxidant effectiveness. This study provides an important contribution to the improvement of effectiveness by using natural antioxidants in the cosmetics and dermocosmetics sector.
