Automated invoicing process for marketplace orders with RPA

Abstract (EN)

Robotic Process Automation (RPA) is a technology that automates repetitive tasks through digital systems mimicking human-like interactions. This study examines the application of RPA in e-commerce, particularly in the order invoicing processes on leading marketplace platforms in Turkey such as Trendyol, Hepsiburada, and N11. It has been found that manual invoicing on these platforms increases operational difficulties and error rates, and the study explores how these processes can be improved by automating them with RPA. The research develops a detailed workflow model for marketplace integrations, processing of order and customer information, and the automatic invoice generation using RPA. This model has been shown to offer a viable solution for businesses ranging from small to large, and the impact of RPA on business processes has been analyzed under various scenarios. Through simulations and real-time applications, it has been demonstrated that RPA increases accuracy and speed in business processes while reducing manual errors and time loss. The research results provide strategic recommendations that will support digital transformation in marketplace invoicing processes and enhance the competitive strength of companies. The dataset for the orders used in the thesis was obtained with the assistance of Enko Technology Inc. A detailed comparison with the literature has been conducted, and the results have shown that the proposed methods are highly successful and effective.
