Abstract (EN)

In this study, it was aimed to investigate the notion of psychic temporality in psychoanalytic theory in the psychic time experiences of the borderline functioning patients and to show them with projective methods. In this respect, psychoanalytically oriented semi-structured clinical preliminary interviews were performed with 5 patients who were diagnosed with borderline functioning in psychiatry service and then Rorschach Test and Thematic Perception Test were applied to these patients. The applications were evaluated based on the French School's analysis of content and the Freudian mnemic traces theory. The results revealed that time was stopped in the psychic of borderline patients who were acting out. Since they were unable to access the traces of their psychic pain, they were shown through projective tests in which they experienced a form of stopping time through repeating. In addition, the situations encountered in the presence of the clinician / researcher emphasized the value of considering for the psychic temporality and spatiality of the Other in understanding the experience of psychic time.
