Abstract (EN)

In this study, the vocabulary of the Old Turkic texts that are written with runic script is evaluated in terms of similarity and difference. The vocabulary of the Orkhon, Ongi, Çoyr, Küli Çor (İhe-Hüşöt), Tes, Tariat, Şine Usu (Moyun Çor), I. Karabalgasun, II. Karabalgasun, Suci, Sevrey, Xi'an (Karı Çor), Arhanan, Gurvaljin-uul, Hoyto-Tamır, Irk Bitig, Yenisei, Altai and Krygzstan inscriptions that are located in the regions of Mongolia, Yenisei, Kyrgyzstan and Mountainous Altai is examined within this framework. The words used with a same meaning in more than one inscription are included in the first chapter, the words used with multiple meanings in more than one inscription are included in the second and the words used once in one inscription are included in the third chapter of the study. Then the words in the third chapter were surveyed whether they live in texts from the later periods of Turkish. As for the conclusion, a general evaluation was made as a result of the research. The study aims to demonstrate the similarity and/or the difference of the use of Old Turkic's vocabulary in different geographical areas in terms of word meaning.
