Abstract (EN)
The study of the "Composers of the Russian Five to the history of classical musi and the study of his works" consisted of three parts. In the first part of the study, th period of the formation of the Russian Five, the formation of the band and its place in th Russian music were examined. In addition, the social, political and cultural life of Russi in the 60th and 70th years of the XIX century was mentioned and the effects of this perio on the musical art of Russia and the creativity of the Russian Five composers wer examined. In the second part of the study, music life and important works of composer of the Russian Five are examined. Here, the public position of composers as a musi figure, the styles and types that they give importance in musical terms are discussed During the analysis of the works, note samples were also included. The ideas about th creative styles of the composers mentioned in the study are mainly based on the researc of Russian musicologists. In the last chapter of the thesis, the contribution and influenc of the Russian Five to the history of music and the position of each composer in the ar of music are discussed separately. The general aim of this thesis is to examine in detail the musical life an important works of the Russian Five known as "Mighty Handful'' in the history o Russian Music. It has been found that the music of the Russian Five, who lived in a perio when the negative effects of the political regime in Russia on the lives of the people wer intense, could not proceed independently from the developments in social life. Durin this study, the contributions of composers to the history of classical music were tried t be revealed. Works of composers other than M. Mussorgsky are analyzed separately fro their life stories. Mussorgsky's work is described in the life story of his analysis. Th reason for this is that when the contents of the works are explained independent of th historical narrative, they will go out of context. This choice was made since the works o four composers: M. Balakirev, S. Cui, N. Rimski-Korsakov, and A. Borodin ar independent of the life story. The data of the study was collected by a detailed literatur review. Due to insufficient Turkish and English literature on the Russian Five, the data i Russian literature was translated into Turkish by the researcher.
