According to Russian sources capturing of Revan Khanete by Russia and establishment of the Armenian province

South Caucasus, throughout history was an important strategic region which in various states has been trying to establish dominance. Indeed, 19th a century this region had been a region that is experiencing the struggles to establish dominance of Iran, Russia, Ottoman Empire and European states. As a result of this struggle, at the beginning of the 19th century Russia, as a result of wars with Iran and the Ottoman Empire, was able to actually connect to this region [Treaty of Gulistan(1813), Turkmenchay (1828) and Edirne (1829)]. In this historical process one of the important developments occurring in the South Caucasus was the connecting Revan Khanate to the Russia and the forming the Armenian province in this region by Russia. Here, in this thesis in the light of Russian sources are discussed that connecting of Erevan Khanate to Russia, establishing of an Armenian Province on the territories of Revan, Nakhichevan khanates and Ordubad Okrug; and when realizing it political, socio-economic and demographic policies are followed by Russia.
