Abstract (EN)
Our study ?Semantic Analysis of Prefixed Verbs in Russian Language? is prepared as a master-degree thesis. In this thesis, verbs in Russian which are used most commonly are determined and the semantic bounds between these verbs and their prefixed status are examined, finally it is concluded that there is a requirement in preparation of ?Russian ? Turkish Dictionary of Prefixed Verbs?.In the first section of our thesis which is called ?Prefixed Verbs in Russian Language?; it is stated that prefixes have an important role in forming a word by explaining prefixes and their functions and it is seen that they have the words gained new meanings. Meanings of 21 prefixes which are coincided in prefixed verbs most commonly are explained and stiffened with sentences given as example.In the second section of our thesis which is called ?The Problems of Lexicography?; lexicology and lexicography fields which research vocabulary treasure of the language is emphasized. Information regarding methods of determination of meaning value of the word and the concept is given. Definition of lexicology which concerns about formation of the words indicating richness of a language and historical information are given, then various dictionaries prepared in this field are reviewed.Considering these studies, in the third section of our thesis ?Russian ? Turkish Dictionary of Prefixed Verbs? has been prepared for the first time for learners learning Russian as a foreign language. It is thought that ?Russian ? Turkish Dictionary of Prefixed Verbs? can ease perception of words as a result of determination of the semantic field of a verb to be formed by means of a prefix. It is also seen in ?Russian ? Turkish Dictionary of Prefixed Verbs? that new meanings gained by same verb with different prefixes create a semantic network connected to main verb.Included in ?Russian ? Turkish Dictionary of Prefixed Verbs? are 50 main verbs and 621 prefixed verbs which are used frequently in Today?s Russian language together with their explanations and how the prefixes affect verbs they are added in terms of semantics is showed.Verbs mentioned in the dictionary are not only included with their principal meanings, but also different meanings being used such as stereotyped, idiom and proverb.Key words:1.Prefix2.Russian ?
