Abstract (EN)
Mountainous areas cover 24% of the earth's surface on a global scale and host approximately 26% of the world's population, while more than 50% of the world's population is indirectly dependent on mountain resources. Today, the functioning of mountain ecosystems and services is under great threat. Therefore, it is of vital importance for our world, ecosystems and humanity to develop effective mountain area management systems in order to ensure the sustainability of mountain areas in the world. This study aims to research and present the mountainous area management model of the Russian Federation. To answer the question of whether Russia has a mountainous area management system, if so, what is its structure and how it works, the thesis consists of three sections following the introduction part. In the first part, general definitions and information about the mountainous areas of the world are given, as well as general geographical information about the Autonomous Republics of the North Caucasus Federated Region, in the second part, the legal structure of the Russian Federation's mountainous area administration is examined in two parts. In the third section, regional inequality and mountain area relationship is examined based on the socio-economic indicators of North Caucasus Autonomous Republics. Working overall assessment, the results of which concludes with a discussion of the applicability Russian model in Turkey. This whole study is to examine the Russian Federation's system and present its useful experiences as an example for every mountain country.
