Abstract (EN)

Rotavirus, Hpv and meningococcal vaccines are vaccines that are not included in the routine vaccination program in our country. Immunization services in our country are mainly provided by primary care physicians. In our study, we aimed to see the knowledge, experience and attitudes of family physicians in Tokat province about special vaccinations. Our study is an intervention study consisting of 2 phases. It is cross-sectional-descriptive. 91 family physicians participated in the first phase and 70 family physicians from the same group participated in the second phase of our study. All family physicians were working in Family Health Centers (FHC). In the first phase, face-to-face training was given and the effect of the training on the participants was evaluated by pre-test post-test method. The second phase was conducted online 4-6 weeks after the training and the effect of the training they received in the first phase on their behaviors and attitudes in their practices was tested. In our study, we found that the level of knowledge of physicians about special immunizations remained low. Following the training, there was a significant increase in the correct response rate of physicians and had a positive effect on the attitude of physicians in their practice. Our study shed light on the importance and necessity of post-graduation / in-service trainings.
