Özet (EN)
In this study a numerical model has been developed to predict the wind induced storm surge, by solving vertically averaged non-linear shallow water equations. Finite difference method has been applied to solve the system of non-linear equations by explicit method on a space staggered grid. Model can be applied on any domain having variable geometrical shape. Developed model results are compared with the analytical solution of storm surge. Then model has been applied to Gokova Bay located at Aegean Sea of Turkish coastline.
