Abstract (EN)

Today, with the increase of environmental consciousness, people are benefiting more and more from renewable energy sources to obtain electrical energy, such as wind energy which have the rapid development process and also clean and low-cost. Wind turbines are used for this purpose. Wind turbines convert the kinetic energy into mechanical energy. For conversion of this mechanical energy into electrical energy an electric power generator is needed. In this study, power conversion of a wound-rotor induction generator which was fed by the wind turbine and its stator was directly connected to the network and its rotor was connected to the network via a matrix converter, was investigated. For this purpose, a wind turbine for converting wind energy into electrical energy, a wound-rotor induction generator and a matrix converter were mathematically modeled using the control method, field oriented control. Matlab/Simulink model was obtained based on d-q reference frame model of the induction generator. Then, in the Matlab/Simulik environment, the power output of the induction generator, under various operating conditions, was established and the results were presented.
