Abstract (EN)
Usage of permanent magnet synchronous machines in wind turbines recently become more of an issue. The breakthroughs in permanent magnet synchronous machines through the latest technologies, especially about machine design, raise the importance of those machines. Moreover, developments in materials technology implement the development of cost effective and profitable products on electric machines. Permanent magnet synchronous machines divide into two parts according as the situation of slot/pole proportion is integer or fractional. In case of the the slot/pole proportion is fractional, the composed machine is called float corrugated permanent magnet synchronous machine. Float corrugated permanent magnet synchronous machines became more than an issue due to having low moment fluctation and low knocking moment. In this work, the 2D magnetic equivalent circuit (MEC) of permanent magnet synchronous machine, which includes SMC in its stator part, was composed and stated magnetic equivalent circuit was verified by finite element method. When SMC materials are used in electric machines, flux flows in 3D. Because of that as the literature is researched, 3D method is used to analysis the SMC-used machines. 3D finite element method takes quite long time. Thank to 2D MEC analysis that was used in our work, the analysis period become remarkably shorter. Also moment and back-EMF of permanent magnet synchronous machine were calculated through the developed MEC method. In the thesis study, production of prototype machine is actualized through the developed optimization algorithm. Besides testing of the produced machines is practiced and it is aimed to undertake empirical study to validate the offered method by comparing the results with the 3 FEA and 3D MEC values. It is seen by the results that the produced prototype and the developed algorithm are matching properly.
