Abstract (EN)

In this study, operation of wind turbine system is investigated and mathematical models are obtained. Permanent magnet synchronous generator is used for energy conversion and all elements of the system are modeled in Matlab / Simulink software. For the maximum power point tracking method, fixed tip-speed ratio method is used. The simulation of the wind energy conversion system is made with and without the maximum power point tracking method and the results are compared. As a result of this study, it has been shown that wind power conversion system works more efficiently by maximum power point tracking by fixed tip-speed ratio method. The proportional and integral parameters of the PI discrete-time speed controller are changed and their effects on the performance of system are investigated.
