Özet (EN)

The aim of this study is to use Remote Sensing (RS) and Geographic Information Systems (GIS) technologies to monitor the change of vegetation in the area after the wind power plants (WPPs) become operational. The fact that the effects of WPPs on vegetation have not been fully revealed, makes this study a diagnostic model. In addition, it aims to create a model with the structure where the results of the relationship of the turbines with the vegetation in the immediate vicinity with remote sensing data. In this way, a proposal model will be created for areas with similar landscape characteristics. All inventory data obtained within the scope of this study were compiled in the GIS environment, their relations in the field, the number of WPPs and their establishment dates were revealed. The NDVI method, which is used in land degradation among the remote sensing methods, has been preferred. As a result, negative changes were found in some slope and aspect groups according to CORINE classes. It has been determined that the deterioration around the WPP is less in the area of woody vegetation in terms of square meters, and the most deterioration in the sclerophile area. Although this study is a pioneer for the studies where the deterioration due to WPP is made in terms of slope and aspect, it reveals the importance of GIS and RS. The Python programming language used in this study allows calculation with bulk data. In this way, it will provide convenience in landscape planning by working in relatively larger areas.
