An examination of the compound sentence types in novel Sabahattin Ali's "İçimizdeki Şeytan"

It has been made different definitions and classification of types of sentences. The admitted opinion by all is that a sentence consists of words conveying predicate. Depending on this definition, it has been used the term "sentence" in our study. The study has been viewed under four headings which are introduction, method, findings and conclusion. In the introduction, it has been dealt with the life of Sabahattin Ali, his literary personality and his works. Also it has been dealth with his opinions and thoughts about sentence and compound sentence. In the second chapter, it has been mentioned the method used in our study briefly. In the third chapter which is the chapter of findings, it has been given example sentences from the text with reference to Tahsin Banguoğlu's classification and explanations concerning the compound sentence. Also it has been benefited from other classfications when it is necessary.It has been mentioned evaluations about the subject in the conclusion chapter which is the fourth chapter and given results reached on the tables at the part of attachments showed numerically.
