Abstract (EN)
Alienation, which is a central concept in many different disciplines such as sociology, theology and psychology, is derived from the Latin word alienare, which means to alienate, to separate, to transfer, to cede. The concept of alienation was originally used as a legal term to mean transferring one's own property to another through a sales agreement and transferring it to someone else's property. In other words, alienation as a legal term is a verb of going away (alienation) from one's possessions that the person had gained before, and as a result of change, this concept has a wide range of uses then. In the study in which the alienation theme in Sabahattin Ali's novels are dealt around the axis of this concept, the concept of alienation, the conceptualization process of the word in literature are discussed, the phases of the concept are tried to be analysed in the context of literature. Within the framework of the theories put forward about this concept, the themes of alienation in Sabahattin Ali's novels are reviewed.
