Abstract (EN)

Sheet metal materials have a wide usage area in automotive and white goods industries. These materials are generally formed by bending dies. The formed product need to be in defined tolerances with respect to measurement, position and form. Springback behavior is the most common problem of ensuring these tolerances. In this study, springback behavior caused by the mostly used method of V die bending in sheet metal forming, is investigated both numerically and experimentally. Springback behavior is investigated by using V bending dies which have 45x90 mm dimensions, 1, 1.5 and 2 mm thickness, different qualities (DP800, DP600, DC01, DC04 and DC05) and 60, 90 and 120o die angles. Numerical study of springback behavior is investigated with finite element method by using Autoform software. Experimental results are compared with numerical results. In addition, the springback angle is mathematically modeled by using nonlinear regression analysis method.
