Abstract (EN)

Keywords: Drawbead, sheet metal forming, finite element method. Sheet metal forming is widely used in automotive and appliance industries. The thickness of sheet metal is smaller than other dimensions and the determination of mechanical behavior of this kind of materials are harder than the other materials. Therefore the producers are frequently encounter problems about the forming. Using drawbead is one of the methods which used for solving forming problems, and therefore preferred by the producers. Drawbeads are the local deformation mechanisms which control the sheet flow through the die in forming dies. Necking and wrinkle problems can be solved effectively by using drawbeads. In this study, mechanical behavior of sheet metal was compared in restrained and normal conditions by using of same drawbead geometry and lubrication conditions of dual phase steel. Semicircular drawbead geometry was used for the finite element analysis and the analysis results were compared with the experimental results for selected conditions in this study. A good correlation was observed between the experimental and numerical results.
